PRESIDENT'S DAY AT YSAFE

On Thursday, February 16th, 2012, students at Young Scholars Academy will be celebrating President's Day. The theme this year is "Celebrating Boys" and there will be a guest speaker invited to address the students.

Young gentlemen are encouraged to dress up on this day. (Remember to follow our school guidelines regarding appropriate attire/shoes).

FIRST LADY'S DAY

On Wednesday, February 15th, 2012, students at Young Scholars Academy will be celebrating First Lady's Day. The theme this year is "Celebrating Girls" and there will be a guest speaker invited to address the students.

Young ladies are encouraged to dress up on this day. (Remember to follow our school guidelines regarding appropriate attire/shoes).

PROGRAMS WE OFFER

Young Scholars is a model for blending child care development and school. We offer a curriculum that includes hands-on educative opportunities. We also offer fine arts and students get a chance to partcipate in beginning Violin, Recorder, Piano & Band well as Dance, Cheerleading, Technology, Spanish, Arts and Crafts and a lot more.

YSAEF FRIENDSHIP CARDS DAY.

On February 14th, 2012 students at Young Scholars will participate in the YSAFE share a card Friendship and Dance Day.

Students will create cards to pass out to all their friends.
Dance will be held at the Tellespen YMCA. at 808 Pease, Houston, TX 77002. Prek-4th Grades (9:30-10:30 am) and 5th- 8th Grades (2:00-3:30 am)

INTRODUCE A GIRL TO ENGINEERING DAY

On Saturday, February 25th, 2012, students at Young Scholars Academy will be heading to The University of Texas in Austin to join other young ladies celebrating Introduce Girls to Engineering Day. The events are part of Engineering Week at will be held from 2pm-5pm.

For the past eleven years, women engineers have introduced more than one million girls and young women to engineering. More than just one day, Introduce a Girl to Engineering is a national movement that shows girls how creative and collaborative engineering is and how engineers are changing our world.

INFANTS, TODDLERS, TWO'S AND PRE-SCHOOLERS

We have a child development center that caters to infants from 6 weeks and up. Young Scholars is a Four Star Texas Rising Star Facility with a Monitoring Plan 3 (Highest Rated Plan) - with Texas Department of Protective & Regulatory Services. We are open Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.
