YSAFE INVENTION DAY CONTEST

Desiring to meet the need to excel in critical thinking and expressive creativity, students from Pre-Kindergarten through eighth grades will all be participating in our Invention Day contest.

Students will get additional details about contest rules and entry submission from their teachers and will be able to turn in their inventions starting Monday, January 9th, 2012 through Monday January 30th, 2012.

Remember to check back soon for photos of all the great inventions that are turned in.

"I HAVE A DREAM CONTEST"

All students are honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by participating in the "I Have A Dream" Contest held starting the week of January, 16th, 2012.

Each class will come up with activities that to express how they choose to celebrate and honor the late Dr. King Jr. Feel free to help them memorize speeches, create fun art projects and understand the important contributions in civil rights matters that Dr. King gave us as a nation.

PROGRAMS WE OFFER

Young Scholars is a model for blending child care development and school. We offer a curriculum that includes hands-on educative opportunities. We also offer fine arts and students get a chance to partcipate in beginning Violin, Recorder, Piano & Band well as Dance, Cheerleading, Technology, Spanish, Arts and Crafts and a lot more.

YSAEF FRIENDSHIP CARDS DAY.

On February 14th, 2012 students at Young Scholars will participate in the YSAFE Friendship Cards Day.

Students will create cards to pass out to all their friends. Additional information will available soon.

INFANTS, TODDLERS, TWO'S AND PRE-SCHOOLERS

We have a child development center that caters to infants from 6 weeks and up. Young Scholars is a Four Star Texas Rising Star Facility with a Monitoring Plan 3 (Highest Rated Plan) - with Texas Department of Protective & Regulatory Services. We are open Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.

You can also learn more about sleep safety for Infants, Toddlers and Pre-Schoolers from the American Academy of Pediatrics. View or download the Sleep Safety Guidelines they recommend.
