interactions and setting individual goals. Young Scholars Academy for
Excellence (YSAFE) is recognized
as a school of open choices which are academically appropriate for
individual learning accomplishments. YSAFE is located in
Downtown Houston, 1809 Louisiana, Houston, Texas, 77002. Our
child-care hours are 6;30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Our elementary and
middle school hours are 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Our evening care
hours are 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. We serve families Monday
through Friday. Our school follows the Houston Independent School
District School Schedule. Young Scholars has been featured in the
Houston Chronicle on numerous occasions for its innovative approach to
high quality early care and education for families.
Young Scholars has been offering family-centered programs since May
15, 1996. Our Child Development Center is licensed by the State of
Texas under the Department of Family and Protective Services. Our
elementary and middle school programs, pre-school through eighth grades,
are offered through our charter school with Houston Independent School
District.
